Hello! I’m Moguna, a handmade enthusiast aspiring to start my own business someday.

About Me

I was born in Tokyo but moved to Fukuoka when I was three years old, so I consider myself a true Fukuoka native. Growing up, I was always dressed in frilly clothes and was often complimented by my neighbors with phrases like "しゃれとんしゃーね" (meaning "stylish" in Fukuoka dialect). These early experiences instilled in me a love for fashion and creativity.

Currently, I've relocated to the Kanto region after getting married, and I'm adjusting to my new surroundings. It's been a challenging yet exciting journey, discovering the unique charm and opportunities of this area.

My Interests

Let me share a few of my favorite hobbies:

  • Nail Art: I'm passionate about colorful designs and intricate nail art. I love changing my nail designs with the seasons or my mood. It’s a wonderful way to express creativity and share fun moments with friends.
  • Glass Pens: I enjoy writing, and using beautiful glass pens to write my journal entries is a special pleasure. The smooth writing experience and exquisite designs of glass pens captivate me. Reflecting on daily events and gratitude through journaling helps me unwind.
  • Travel: Exploring new places, experiencing beautiful landscapes, and immersing myself in different cultures are some of my favorite activities. Both domestic and international travel provide fresh perspectives and unforgettable memories. I love documenting my travels through photo albums and sharing my adventures on my blog.
  • Gourmet: I’m a food enthusiast who loves discovering and enjoying delicious meals. Whether it’s savoring local delicacies in Fukuoka like ramen and motsunabe or exploring trendy cafes and renowned restaurants in Kanto, I’m always on the lookout for new culinary experiences. I also enjoy experimenting with new recipes in my kitchen.

Why I Started This Blog

The inspiration for this blog came from my experience making hair accessories for my wedding. Influenced by my mother, I have always been good at crafts and making things since I was young. For my wedding, I ended up making not just my hair accessories but also a welcome board and hairpieces for my mother. The process was incredibly enjoyable and left me with wonderful memories.

During the preparations, I rediscovered the joy of creating something with my own hands. Designing and crafting items for my wedding allowed me to see the joy in others' faces when they appreciated my work, which was immensely satisfying.

Since then, my interest in handmade crafts has only grown. I've tried my hand at various crafts, from nail art and creating with glass pens to making accessories with materials found during my travels. Finding ways to incorporate handmade items into daily life has become a source of great joy.

Through this blog, I hope to share not only the items I create but also the joy and process of handmade crafts. Each handmade piece carries unique thoughts and efforts, and by sharing this, I aim to inspire others and spread the charm of handmade creations.

Additionally, I started this blog to connect with fellow craft enthusiasts. Sharing my experiences, including my successes and mistakes as a beginner, can hopefully provide insights and encouragement to others who share the same interests.

In the future, when I have children, I dream of crafting handmade items for them and creating special memories together through crafts. I want to be able to express my daily thoughts and make unique items that hold sentimental value.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog and following my journey. Your support and kind words mean a lot to me. Thank you for being here!

Best regards,

Moguna
